Penguins hunting

Most people see penguins as cute and cuddly but they are actually really good hunters. They mainly eat krill and tend to have a hunting area of up to several hundred miles. However bigger penguins like emperor penguins can have hunting areas of up to 500 miles. The most important part of a penguins hunting is its eye sight. There impressive vision lets them find prey deep below the ocean's surface. They are also able to use their eye sight to see potential predators like leopard seals and sharks. Their able to dive 1,800 feet underwater and stay underwater for about 20 minutes. When they see potential prey, they swim towards it with speeds up to 16 feet per second. It then eats its prey while still swimming. They have sharp becks that let them keep hold of its prey. Its beck can also be used to make holes in ice if they want to.
